Denver

Last week we went to Denver, Colorado to visit Cameron's family. We had such a great time. It was one of our greatest vacations!
While the men went backpacking for the weekend, the rest of us ladies (minus Quinn, Connor and Jensen) had a girls weekend.
Aunt Megan took some adorable pictures of the kids. I couldn't choose between the these two of Brinley.

Allie didn't talk to me practically the entire week. She was having too much fun with her cousins.
Sleepover!

Aunt Verretta watched the kids while the moms went garage sale shopping (nothing beats Denver garage sales). Here they are watching a movie. What else do you do with that many kids and one adult? Thanks V!

Cameron went backpacking with his Dad and brothers up at the Lost Creek Wilderness. They luckily had great weather.

My husband is so buff!
Way to go Brandon!

On Memorial Day, we went to a really neat park where we rode a train, went to a petting zoo, and played in the stream. The kids loved it!

Tuesday through Friday we spent time with Grandy and Papa Bob. We decided to go to Colorado Springs and visit the zoo. Loved it! I've never been to a zoo that was so interactive with the animals.

Allie petting a baby Wallaby.

You could buy food and feed the giraffes. Check out their tongues. They would curl around the lettuce and take it out of your hand (or off of your head).

My little tigers.

After the zoo, we stopped at the Garden of the Gods, also in Colorado Springs. It was pretty amazing and the pictures do not do the rocks justice.

On Wednesday we went to the coolest Mexican restaurant: Casa Bonita. It was all decked out and they have divers that jump into a pool in the middle of the restaurant.
Can you see the diver's feet by the palm tree?

That night we had 'Spa night' with just the girls. Here is what we looked like before.
We did facials.

Painted nails.

Allie's first time playing with make-up.
We looked gorgeous!
The next day we went to Loveland and Estes Park. Both beautiful places.

The kids went horseback riding. It was very entertaining.

Allie and Connor found a 'book nook.'

Next to this meadow is a big sign that says "No Hunting." We saw a ton of elk.
We ended our trip with a BBQ at Grandy's. The cousins played while the parents visited. Here are some of my favorite pics of the night.
Dressing up never gets old for Allie.
