Every year Cameron’s work gives its employees free tickets to Lagoon. We love it except that Cameron is a little disappointed that he didn’t ask me about my fears of amusement park rides before he married me. I’m scared of heights, spinning makes me sick, and I hate that funny feeling in your stomach on roller coasters. This year was a little different for Cameron. Allie is now 36’ tall and became Cameron’s riding buddy. She was fearless and was usually pushing her Dad to take her on rides I probably shouldn’t have let her ride. She came off smiling with weird looking teenagers in line saying, “Hey, look at that little girl. If she can come out smiling after that ride, then we can” (direct quote). Connor and I had a great time watching Cameron and Allie have a great time!
We started her out nice and easy . . .
. . . I know this was a kid ride but I told Allie right before this picture that I was a little nervous. She asked, “What does ‘nervous’ mean?” She just couldn’t understand why I should be scared about a egg ride that would shoot me in the air and let me drop (giving me the funny tummy feeling). She loved it.
Allie and Cameron rode in the pink cage. She got a little ‘nervous’ when they started going upside down but once again, she loved it.
It was May 22 (almost June!) and it was in the 40’s. We had to bundle but it was worth it.
